Program Pink Heart Remote

from old books and coins ...

"Happy Birthday!" I wanted my host mother and Dasha on Tuesday. Both were only returned last week and now she hugged me happily. My host mother is to describe it more as a fearsome person. Although happy and often jokingly, but she knows to enforce their will. Probably I notice so rare that it barely larger than Xjuscha (improved spelling) - about half a head shorter than me - is. Cute. The rest of the day Dasha stuck to my skirt and said again and again they've missed me. Cute.

There is something tragic to just to have his birthday back to school. Moreover, no one seemed to remember my day of joy - but who has surprised, after all, were my first two hours of algebra and geometry. Not only do I entertain by nature an aversion to math, no, the class and algebra teacher to ensure that I hate math classes even more.
On the way to Physics classroom, I met fellow student in my class. When she recognized me, they ran towards me, hugged me and cried out: "Happy Birthday" I was even gifted with eye shadow, chocolate and books. Among the gifts were each attached greeting cards, which to me, to be honest, enjoyed more than the actual gift. So I read, among other things, how much you look forward about the fact that I had come here, and you do not let me return to Germany. Such things to read already insanely happy!
my class teacher, I ran into the next break on the road. They beamed at me, congratulated me and stuck on my Hand with colorful stickers. Then they dragged me from my class and delivered a speech that today is my birthday and you should congratulate me now. Since this was done on a voluntary basis by all, she announced that will now sing "Happy Birthday to you!". Followed was serenaded by a little speech itself, in which they left about announced the following words:
"Lotta crowd, happy birthday! I wish you luck, happiness, many friends, health and success in learning the Russian language. We are glad you are here with us. It seems as if all people in Germany a good and friendly - at least when they are so as you ... "
to the exact words I can remember no longer, but the meaning is the same. Whatever. I was pleased, of course, on the words and thanked me several times.
ran in the other breaks me another Zehntklässlerin on the way:
"Hey! But you are the German "
" Yes -? Why "
" Happy Birthday "
" Eh ... thanks "
And she was gone again!. Strange, but thoroughly enjoyable. Furthermore
were two students of the 6th Class (in my Russian class) to me:
"We congratulate you for the birthday," and handed me a box of chocolates - Jeha!

arrived in the Russian home, I let me taste a piece of my homemade scharlottka. Yes, you read that right: I scharlottka baked themselves. And the funny thing is that my host mother and "Grandma" was totally enthusiastic about the fluffy texture of the apple pie and wanted to know absolutely what I did, because this would add consistency to get very difficult and only very few succeed. But I do not betray course - hehe.
After eating my birthday cake Quasi, I went to my room and Xjuschas. On my laptop was a package. Xjoschas birthday gift to me. I opened it and found in it a couple of beautiful earrings. Blessed be the fashion sense of my host sister! I put the earrings back and hugged my host sister almost stormy - but only almost, because I had some fear they could break me (it really is awful thin).

evening brought my host mother and I finally got my package. My host mother had been initiated by us, that we were told that they only come in 1 ½ months and she played her role really well. When we were finally your turn, they asked puzzled her why she was so early here. She answered with an air of importance that they had come specially from Murmansk, just so you "the child" finally the package of his parents exist. Ha! This has been sitting. The facial expression of the person responsible was a bit softer and almost apologetic. They checked the identity of my host mother and then took a large, sealed plastic bag in another room. They had told me earlier, that one particularly large packages again in such bags packaging to prevent theft. They cut the bag and weighed the package to see if there were still 10 pounds. All palletized. We were handed the package, we grabbed a sled and kutschten it to the apartment. I

my Christmas / birthday greeting from my home opened. First, I distributed the gifts. A new pan for my host mother, who has always excited about the old griddle. She seemed very surprised to be - since that day, she fantasizes that one can not cook everything in the new pan, but so far it is unused.
Xjuscha got T-shirts from H & M. This business in Russia, it seems only 3 times to give (2 in St. Petersburg, 1 in Moscow), the more wishes here every girl clothing from such fashion shop, which seems to be with us on every street corner.
Dasha got finger puppets, which she squealed as. Furthermore
was in the package is still a lot Naschzeug, such as Christmas cakes, sweets and Milka chocolate.
Anschließen skypte ich mit meiner Familie - diesmal mit meinen Eltern, meinen Großeltern mütterlicherseits, my sister and some friends who had invited Therry. The Internet is really awful annoying. Repeatedly interrupts the connection, so we decided later to call via Skype. Meanwhile, the "Grandma" and her partner was eingetrudelt. We ate together. They spoke again take turns his birthday wish - to hear once again wonderful that I was happy to have around. In the sense: Cheers! Afterwards, I chatted
long with my sister on Skype, before I went to bed happy.

It's almost frightening, how quickly time flies. On Wednesday, the American left
Cheboksary in the direction of home. Straight by 4 months they had been here and it seemed as if one makes about their departure. Anyway, I talked to my English teacher (YFU volunteers) and they could not put into words their relief. She said that she was very happy that I stay one year and not the American. She said it seems to Americans - regardless of which exchange organization, giving more stress.

was also on that evening, the "Grandma" with us to visit. She had mistaken the day of my birthday, so it only yesterday angefangnen canoes had to bake, which meant that they were only completed on Wednesday. We celebrated my birthday a second time, my host mother turned off the stereo ein und meinte: „So jetzt wird getanzt!“ Dascha ließ sich das nicht zweimal sagen und hüpfte fröhlich drauflos.

„An Charlottes Geburtstag
So ein Tiefer (Bends down to bottom)
such a wide (enlarged circle)
Such a narrow (coming right up to the birthday child)
loaf, loaf, choose who you love. "(Which requires standing in a circle to another person on the to enter code)

Translated, it sounds a bit strange but "loaf" is "karawai" in Russian and select "wuibirai", meaning the last stanza reads:
"Karawai, karawai, KOWO ljubisch wuibirai" So there is a rhyme and does not sound strange.

invited Xjuscha On Friday, the music teacher and me to seek out the clock against 14 music cabinet. We had no idea was uns erwartet.

The Cover

as thick as a hand width.

The book is not written in Latin by the way, but in a kind of "Old Russian", which can be read today barely understand / something like our old German.

Then he took another out an old coin collection. Rubles from the old Soviet Union. Ca. 3cm in diameter and not the easiest - Much of it you can not have carried around with him. Very fascinating coins. They are like little pictures. On some of Lenin, Marx, Engels or Pushkin is shown. Also, St. Petersburg and Red Square are represented on the coins. I had to smile when I thought of the small, light Ostmark.
He asked me:
'troop Lotta, you like Pushkin? "
" Yes. "(Everything else should we say in Russia anyway, because this people has a certain pride about these personality)
He grinned and gave me a coin on which the head of Pushkin is shown. I thanked him and I must admit that - although I do not otherwise for Coin-interested me this gift really pleased.

My Einrubelmünze from the year 1984.

"CCCP" is "SSSR" spoken, translated it means the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.

Another answer to a Reader question:

"How much is gas?"

a gallon gasoline costs between 20 and 30 rubles. Converted So 50/75 cents.

conclusion: "... or using juhu? In one year I am an adult "

dearest greetings from your happy Lotte

PS:. Here is an addendum to the topic post. I received two letters. A letter from my maternal grandparents and one from a friend-thank you. By the way, seems to be a letter between two and four weeks, even with air mail to be on the road.
Here are some pictures:

Der Brief, welchen ich an meine Eltern sendete. Aufgrund etwas unfähiger Postfrau kleben nun 11 Briefmarken drauf statt üblichen 4.

Postauto

Und noch ein besonderer Gruß an meine Tante, welche am 13.1. Geburtstag hatte- Alles Gute nachträglich! :)
